Here, recovery has rhythm.

  • People transitioning from treatment
  • Residents seeking structure
  • Families looking for a safer next step
  • Referral partners seeking sober housing

Daily life with rhythm and support.

  • House Meetings

A weekly sit-down with the whole house. Updates, accountability, conflicts worked out in the open, and the small things that keep a shared home running.

  • Recovery Programming

Structured groups and routines residents take part in alongside their outside work — recovery meetings, life-skills sessions, and the steady cadence of a recovery-focused home.

  • Personal Responsibility

Chores, curfew, regular drug screening, and financial accountability. Clear expectations every resident agrees to on day one, not negotiated in the moment.

  • Community Support

Daily life alongside people walking the same road — peer relationships, sober activities, and the kind of casual support that makes a house feel like a home.

Questions before you reach out?

  • Who is Northstar for?
Adults in recovery who want a structured next step in a real home environment — people transitioning from treatment, jail or court-ordered situations, or another sober living, as well as anyone seeking the daily accountability a sober home provides.
  • How long do residents usually stay?
It varies. Most residents stay several months; some longer. We'll talk through what fits your situation during admissions.
  • What is included?
Furnished living space, utilities, Wi-Fi, shared common areas, and a place in the recovery programming we run weekly. The admissions conversation covers the specifics — what's provided and what residents are responsible for.
  • Is this a treatment facility?
No. Northstar is a sober living home — a structured residential environment that supports recovery. We don't provide clinical or medical services. Many residents are also engaged with outside counselors, therapists, or treatment programs while they live here.
  • What are the house expectations?
A drug- and alcohol-free home, regular drug screening, attendance at house meetings, curfew, chores, and active engagement — work, school, volunteering, or another structured commitment.
